How to get from the airport to North Goa
Tourists arrive at Dabolim airport and they can continue their trip to North Goa by bus or taxi. First they will come to Vasco where another shuttle bus must be taken. Another change of the bus in Panaja. This bus brings tourists to Mapusa. And from Mapusa you can go to any place that you need. This trip with all these changes of transport is already a small adventure.

Goa cuisine includes both Indian and European traditions. It is characterized with a great amount of vegetables and rice. Local restaurants are a real heaven for vegetarians. The history of Goa starts 2300 years ago. People knew that they were taking very profitable and prosperous land. In 1312 the lands of Goa were captured by Muslims. During long time Goa had been a very important port which increased its importance. In the 16-th century Goa was ruled by Portuguese king. The history of North Goa started after this land had been populated by hippie. It happens in 1960s. These people were not controlled by the government, police didn’t interfere either. Everywhere music sounded, endless parties at the beaches, Marijuana was smoked. It was their lifestyle. The lifestyle of the whole North Goa those times. There is one legend about Goa. People said that one sailor was passing by this land and drinking wine. He was so impressed by the beauty of those lands that wanted to exclaim “wau”.
