The original name “Salto Angel” is the highest waterfall in the world. Its total altitude is 978 meters and falls freely down to 807 meters. As Venezuela is located in one of the unspoiled forests, it is possible to reach the Canaima National Park only by air.
Features of Angel Falls
Angel Falls, Venezuela’s most popular tourist destination, was officially declared by the National Geographic team in 1949 to be 979 meters long. The water that falls from the waterfall evaporates and forms a cloudy mist before approaching the water. There is a lake beneath the waterfall, and the waters flowing from the seaweed-bearing rocks at the end of the lake feed the Carrao River.

How to go to Angel Falls?
